My Story: Gary Eddington

As a young boy, my visions of what I wanted to be ”when I grew up” included being a professional athlete of just –about- any- sport,  with occasional interests in other things such as garbage man (riding on the back of the truck looked so exciting) or pilot.  During my free time, however, I found myself building things…like a clubhouse in the backyard.  I found myself daydreaming of design and building from early on, and I enjoyed the hands-on process of putting things together.   As I progressed through school, I took several drafting classes which I very much enjoyed and started to think more seriously about my future.  When graduation from high school was approaching, I had the choice to go to a two year college with the possibility of playing football, or a technical school for drafting.  The college life sounded much more fun and a lot less of a commitment, so I chose to go to college and as I took more architecture drafting classes at Ricks Jr. College, I found that my interest grew and my career path was becoming clear.  Read More
